Is it really random?
flipj uses your browser's built-in cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues), the same source browsers use for encryption keys. We also avoid "modulo bias", a subtle flaw where some results come up slightly more often than others. Every result is generated on your device, so nothing you enter is sent to us.
Why do people pick 7?
Ask people to "pick a number between 1 and 10" and far more choose 7 than any other number, with 3 the next favourite. Humans avoid the ends and even numbers because they don't "feel" random. A generator doesn't have that bias, which is why it's fairer for games and draws.
